Mauritius Sailing

The coral reef that surrounds Mauritius make it a great destination for diving and snorkeling. The best months are November through to March when the water temperature is warmer and visibility is at its best - the west coast offers warmer water than the east.

Mauritius has now also become a luxury golf holiday destination, with its great courses complimented by luxury hotels. The 18-hole Paradis golf course (designed by David Dutton) is just 30 metres from the reception at Paradis Hotel and at approximately €20 a round is superb value for money. The peninsula location is stunning, with Le Morne Mountain towering over you and on five of the holes you play over the Indian Ocean! There is also a golf academy, with video swing analysis and friendly pros for a little bit of fine tuning or if a member of the family wants to try for the first time. Other 18 hole courses include Golf Du Chateau and Tamarina Golf Course and we can arrange 4-Day golf packages.

From the 30th of October 2017 until 24 March 2018, KLM will operate flights to Mauritius from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport three times a week with frequent and easy connecting fights from Manchester. PLUS the new service from Amsterdam will be using the state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner. In economy there are ergonomically designed seats with a 31” pitch and in Business Class, comfy armchair-style seats convert into fully flat beds.

We can ALSO offer direct flights to Mauritius from Heathrow or Gatwick with Air Mauritius and British Airways - the flying time is approximately 12 hours. From Manchester the alternative route is via Dubai with Emirates and we can tailor-make exciting two centre holidays with this option. The small time difference between the UK and Mauritius (3 hours in our summer and 4 in winter) means that jet lag is rarely a problem.
